ABOUT

HISTORY

The R.J. Hendley Christian Community School was established in 1982 by founder Elder Robert J. Hendley, Jr. Our school is a non-profit inter-denominational Christian School. We opened our doors to children as the Greater Bethel Primitive Baptist Church Tutorial Program. The tutorial program was a resounding success from its very inception.

In 1993, the school officially became a private school. The success of that tutorial program fanned the desire of Elder R.J. Hendley, Jr. and the congregation of Greater Bethel Primitive Baptist Church to establish a permanent Christian school, R.J. Hendley Christian Community School.

The building at 2800 R.J. Hendley Avenue is our central school complex, housing the Office of Business Affairs, the Clinic, Cafeteria, Child Care Center (Preschool Department). The elementary and middle school classrooms, Media Center, and our new Computer Lab are located in the building at 2760 R.J. Hendley Avenue. Each of our spacious air conditioned classrooms offers a warm decor that provides a conducive environment for learning.
